3 Netflix Shows you Need to Watch

Anne with an “E” is a 3 season Netflix show that entered Netflix on May 7, 2017. Taking place in the 1890’s, the main character, Anne, starts off as an orphan. She loses hope that anyone will adopt her until she is informed that a brother and a sister, Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert, want to make her a part of their family. She arrives at their house in Green Gables, and they tell her some shocking news that leaves Anne heartbroken. After some trouble, Anne ends up staying, and Marilla starts treating her like a real daughter. She sends her to school, invites her friends over, and so on. At her new school, Anne realizes that she is not welcome, but she does make one friend, Diana. She also meets a boy, Gilbert, who she later starts to have feelings for. Over time, Anne faces challenges and problems that risk her relationship with Matthew and Marilla. She also begins to realize how many social justice issues there are in the world, and she does her best to fight for her freedom and the freedom of others. Watch the show to find out what happens.

Raising Dion is a Netflix show that debuted on October 4, 2019. It currently has one season out, but season two is in the making. It starts off with an ordinary boy named Dion, who has a single mother named Nicole. Dion’s dad, Mark, died, but his mom refuses to tell him how. All they have left of his dad is his friend, Pat, who tries to help Nicole as much as he can and builds a strong relationship with Dion. Before long, Dion and his mom begin to notice strange things and later discover that he has powers! They keep noticing this “Lighting Man” form in the sky, and he looks like he is coming for Dion. His mom, not knowing what to do, isolates Dion from everyone, including Pat. They try to uncover the secret to his powers. After he gets his powers under control, his mom, still worried, manages to get him back into school and living a normal life. It’s not long before the word gets out, and soon enough, scientists want Dion all to themselves. Pat and Nicole’s relationship weakens as Dion struggles to get through everyday life. Later on, Nicole and Dion learn the shocking truth about Pat, and it’s something that they’ve never expected. Watch to find out what happens.

  • No Good Nick

No Good Nick is a 2 season Netflix show that was released on April 15, 2019. The main character is a girl named Nick (which is short for Nicole), who is trying to find a home to live in after her father got arrested, but don’t let that fool you. Things don’t appear as they really are. Nick is actually a con artist wanting to get revenge on a family who allegedly ruined her whole life. She is first taken in by Sam and Dorothy, “ foster parents,” who use kids for money. She makes them think that she wants to go and steal money for them, but she is actually trying to get revenge. She later puts on an act and takes a fake name of Nicole Patterson even though her last name is Franzelli. That convinces the Thompson family that they need to help her. She finds herself welcomed and comforted by them, especially Molly, who treats her like a sister. Liz and Ed, the parents of the Thompson family, also play a big part in comforting her, but Jeremy, Molly’s brother, is suspicious of her from the start. She quickly realizes that she can’t steal from them for her own benefit as they have been kind to her, but if she doesn’t, what will happen to her dad? After some further investigation they all start to grow suspicious of her, and Nick has to make a move, quick. She ends up doing something unbelievable. Watch to find out what happens.
