The Anime adaptation, The Promised Neverland, aired on January 10, 2019, with season one. It is still an on-going show with currently twenty episodes (two seasons).

Many children who’ve lived in the Gracefield House orphanage have a peaceful life there. Emma, Ray, Norman, and many others have lived there their whole lives, along with their loving guardian they call “Mom”. The children spend every day in the orphanage enjoying their lives, but that soon changes when the dark truths about the orphanage are revealed. Emma, Ray, and Norman are the only three that currently know about this, with limited resources and “Mom” being against them, they’re confident in finding a way to escape. What will happen next? Will they make it? What obstacles will they face on the way? What else is “Mom” hiding? Watch this psychological thriller filled with mysteries to find out what happens next.

Even if you’re someone who isn’t into psychological fantasy, this anime does a perfect job at portraying each character’s growth, mindset, and personality. Along with more characters continuing in season 2, and beautiful scenery.

The studio that made The Promised Neverland, CloverWorks, have also made other animes such as Horimiya, Fairy Tail, Darling in the Franxx, The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited, Persona 5: The Animation, and many more.
