The show focuses on a group of young doctors who begin their careers at the number 1 teaching hospital, Seattle Grace Hospital. Meredith Gray, played by Ellen Pompeo, is the daughter of a famous surgeon, Ellis Grey, who is played by Kate Burton. Richard Webber (played by James Pickens Jr.), the chief of surgery, had a pre-existing relationship with Meredith’s mother when she was young. Meredith struggles to connect with her colleagues. The 5 surgical interns work together and start to build a strong friendship. They face things like plane crashes, shootings, breakups, divorces, and many more. They may have their ups and downs, but they always stick up for each other.
Grey’s Anatomy show is loved by many as it is riveting with lots of plot-twisting. The young doctors face many struggles throughout their journey at the hospital. With 317 episodes so far, the show has held people’s hearts since the pilot released in 2005. The show can be found on Netflix, ABC, and Lifetime. It is recommended for 14+ as it has a decent amount of blood in surgeries. Grey’s Anatomy has many jaw-dropping twists that you won’t want to miss. Make sure to check it out! Saron Amdemeskel is in 8th and goes to Glasgow Middle School. She was born and grew up in Virginia. Her family is from Ethiopia and she has been there multiple times. She speaks Amharic and celebrates Ethiopian holidays. She likes to read and write and that is one of the reasons she decided to join Journalism Club. She plays the clarinet and is in Symphonic band. She also has a really big fear of spiders.
Raine Jeff (They/Them) is an 8th Grader at Glasgow Middle School. They grew up in Virginia and have lived there for their whole life. They dance, play soccer, like doing art, baking, and taking care of their plants. They have a dog that they got during the pandemic and adore. They enjoy learning and being challenged to think in new ways.
