Glasgow’s top musicians are preparing for their District X Assessment in the beginning of March.  These concerts for assessment are taking place in various locations across Northern VA.  

These students are practicing very hard for this concert.  Ms. Hannel, the Glasgow chorus teacher, said,  “To prepare for the assessment, the students have had formative assessments to sing their part alone on Schoology – this has helped them to practice more at home and really know their part, and receive feedback that will help them as they sing in the group.  We are excited to share our work, and we hope to receive strong scores at assessment!”   Band and orchestra students are practicing their programs very hard as well.  The music department also ensures that all the students are ready by having after school rehearsals.

Be sure to wish these students good luck or ask them how it went.  District X Assessment days for Glasgow’s bands are on March 11 for 5th period, and March 12 for 1st period.  Orchestra students in 1st, 5th, and 8th period have their concert on March 12.  Then, 7th and 8th period chorus have there assessment Mar 18, 2022.
