How NBA Free Agency affect Glasgow’s Students
January 12, 2021
With free agency coming to a close, the Washington Wizards have landed a big name player named Russell Westbrook. Russell Westbrook is a nine-time NBA All-Star and earned the NBA Most Valuable Player Award for the 2016–17 season. You would think that Glasgow students would be more excited because if you get on the A/B honor roll, you can get free tickets to go see them play, but out of the 137 student’s responses, only 17.2% of students even watch the NBA. However,13.4% of students sort of pay attention to free agency, and 6% of students care about free agency
When asked the question if the Washington Wizards were better, would you be motivated to get better grades to go see them, over 49.6% of people said Maybe/I don’t know. At the time of writing this, the Wizards are 2-5. Even with the addition of Westbrook, the Wizards are still an underachieving team, which probably won’t attract a lot of Glasgow students.
