Spring break is coming up starting March 29! People have already started planning for their break. However, you might not be ready for break. Maybe you can’t think of anything to do after feeling like you’ve been on break this entire year. Being online for school, you’ve pretty much been on a screen 24/7. With nice weather coming, it’s the perfect opportunity to get off a screen and spend some time outside! If that’s the case for you, here are 5 things to do outdoors while on Spring break!

1. Go on a Walk/Hike with Your Family

Even though we’ve all been home for so long, you may not have gotten the chance to actually have quality time with your family. Spring break is the opportunity to do that! Get outside with your parents or siblings, go on a nice walk or hike, and talk to them about the things that are going on. It’s sure to be a great break from everything and you’ll get to see amazing scenery!

2. Play Outdoor Games

Something you can do to have fun while outside is playing games! You could play games like hide and seek, tag, badminton, catch, jump rope, etc. You could even come up with your own games! This would also be a great opportunity to have some friends over in your backyard who you haven’t been able to see in a while! It will by far make it feel more like a break!

3. Ride Your Bike

Time for some exploring! While you may not be able to travel, riding your bike is a great way to get out of the house and explore while still staying safe. Maybe you could ride downtown, or go on that trail you found and really want to try. It’s also a great opportunity to get some exercise while having fun with family or friends!

4. Read a Book and Relax

While you’re on break you should take the time to get off an electronic and relax in other ways. One way to do that is by reading a book or even listening to music. Chilling outside with the animals and listening to the sounds of nature while doing something that doesn’t take much effort like reading can be so relaxing! Besides, right now relaxation is just what all of us need.

5. Discover a New Hobby

Quarantine is the perfect time to discover new hobbies, and with Spring break coming up you’re soon to have all the time in the world to do so! Whether it’s bird or animal watching, painting, collecting something, or gardening, make sure to get outside and find those hobbies! Once you find that hobby, you’ll have loads of fun doing it over Spring break, making it feel more normal. Hopefully, this gave you some ideas of things to do over Spring break. Enjoy your time off!
