Read & Relax with the Summer Reading Challenge!

Don’t know what to do over the summer? Don’t worry, have fun with the Glasgow Summer Reading Challenge! By completing the activities on a choice board, you can become eligible for a prize! Check out this site for directions for this challenge and more directions on this google doc.
It’s really simple, all you have to do is complete at least 5 activities anywhere on this bingo board and read at least 2 books over the summer to be eligible for prizes! The activities are easy and fun, from checking out books at your local library, and writing poems, to reading on the Panther Post! It’s a great opportunity to set reading goals, become a more creative and critical thinker, and have fun while you’re at it! You can even invite your family and friends to join you in this summer reading adventure. Make a copy of this doc to keep track of your progress and activities, or just write it down on paper or in a journal.
Still, looking for something to do? Take the Unplug Challenge! See how long you can stay away from technology, and use that time to read, draw, spend time outside, and so much more! Encourage your family
Once you have finished the activities, fill out this google form to submit what you did to become eligible for the prizes!

Brooke Ehmann - Jones (she/her), an 8th grader at Glasgow MS has been a writer for the Panther Post since the 2020 school year. She has lived in Northern Virginia all of her life and plays on a soccer team, loves playing music on her saxophone and the piano, enjoys reading, writing, cooking, and painting, and loves spending time outdoors on the many hikes she and her family have been on. Brooke is also very passionate about the environment and enjoys learning about nature, and volunteering to protect it. She has two cats at home, and loves traveling to national parks with her family.
